Remapping Debate is a small, not-for-profit newsroom that thinks the robustness of public policy debate continues to be constricted by a host of too-often-unexamined underlying assumptions. These assumptions (including those related to practicality and popularity) make it difficult to consider — or even imagine — a range of alternatives, even at moments when very large decisions are being made.
Our principal job is to ask those “why” and “why not” questions.
